Hello! My name is Ruriko, and I am from Japan. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a TESOL certification. I’ve taught middle school students math and English in Japan, and I have also been teaching Japanese and English to both children and adults in the U.S. I’ve been teaching for over 29 years in total.

In my personal life, I taught my daughter Japanese—and she is now perfectly bilingual!

My hobbies are drawing pictures, playing the ukulele, watching movies, and cooking! You can learn many things about Japanese culture through movies, music, and art. If you enjoy learning Japanese, you’ll most likely master the language very well!
