Hello! I’m Mikelo, an English and Greek teacher currently based in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal. Having grown up in Greece and studied Greek literature, history, and culture, I bring a deep understanding of the language’s cultural richness.

I firmly believe that language acquisition is a valuable skill that benefits every aspect of life. As a lifelong learner and language enthusiast, I enjoy meeting new people and exploring their cultures. My goal is always to engage students, increase participation, and encourage long-term retention.

My teaching approach emphasizes speaking the language from day one, allowing students to actively participate in the learning process. I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where learners can express themselves without fear of making mistakes.
