Hello! Привет!

I am Lyubov, and I am a professional Russian language teacher. I am a native Russian speaker who also speaks English with near-native proficiency. I have been on both sides—learning and teaching—and understand the challenges any learner might face.

During my nearly 20-year teaching career, I have shared my knowledge of the language and the amazing culture of my home country, Russia, with learners—and I have loved it! My students come from diverse backgrounds, have assorted language proficiency levels, and speak different native languages.

A little bit about myself: After receiving my degree in linguistics from a pedagogical university in Russia, I started giving my first lessons in Russian as a second language and English lessons for children and adults, while also working as a translator-interpreter and tour guide in my beautiful hometown, Sochi. Early in my career, I quickly learned that a personalized approach is the key to students’ success!

After moving to the United States over 20 years ago, I continued teaching Russian and English while bringing the amazing culture of Russia closer to anyone curious to dive into the bottomless ocean of rich and mysterious Russian culture.
