Global Seal of Biliteracy Exam: What to Expect
LanguageBird administers the STAMP exam. Here’s what to expect:
- Takes up to 180 minutes to complete
- Tests four skill areas: Reading, Speaking, Listening, and Writing
- Students choose a two-week testing window
- Available year-round
- Functional Fluency: Students who have completed 8th grade in an English-speaking school and score 5 or above in each skill area
- Working Fluency: Students who have completed 11th grade in an English-speaking school and score 7 or above in each skill area
- Professional Fluency: Score 9 or above in each skill area (highest level certification)
Following the exam, LanguageBird submits the student’s scores to Global Seal for review. If they qualify, they receive their Global Seal of Biliteracy credential.

- Online proctor access (ASL exam requires an in-person proctor)

Physical certificates may be purchased directly from the Global Seal store.
