Hello! My name is Erika and I’ve been teaching Italian and English at LanguageBird since October 2020. I’m from Italy, and was born in Potenza, the center of southern Italy. I lived for almost two years in Sicily, in the beautiful Syracuse. I have a Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and Translation from CIELS in Padova, Italy and I have also completed a Master’s program that enriched me and has allowed me to grow as a teacher.
I am attentive and thoughtful; I am a patient and passionate teacher and an enthusiastic student. I love learning new languages, idioms, and cultures (I am studying Japanese and Turkish!). I believe communication is an essential and fundamental part of human life.
I have been teaching and tutoring for Italian, English and Spanish in-person and online since 2015. In 2019, I visited New York City and fell in love with it. I love traveling, reading, and having good times.
